Position Summary
The President of SDA will play a pivotal role in supporting the CEO to execute the corporation’s strategic vision. This individual will be instrumental in managing operations, spearheading development projects, and nurturing stakeholder relationships to promote the region’s economic and social prosperity. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker and a collaborative, energetic leader with seasoned management experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the CEO to develop and implement strategic plans aligned with SDA’s mission.
  • Oversee major development projects to ensure alignment with organizational goals and deliver tangible benefits to the community.
  • Foster relationships with government entities, local businesses, and community leaders to build partnerships and secure funding for initiatives.
  • Manage budgets and financial strategies with the finance team, maximizing resources for community projects.
  • Champion a culture of excellence and inclusivity, focusing on employee development and mission alignment.
  • Leverage technology and innovative practices to improve organizational efficiency and program effectiveness.
  • Respond strategically to crises, safeguarding SDA’s interests and community well-being.
  • Advocate for corporate social responsibility, ensuring ethical standards and positive impacts on the region.
  • Lead fundraising and revenue generation efforts.
  • Collaborate with the Finance and Administration team to prepare budgets and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
  • Attract, train, motivate, and retain talented staff.
  • Provide regular updates to the Board, ensuring they are informed of key organizational factors and conditions.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships and partnerships for organizational benefit.
  • Set goals, monitor progress, and evaluate outcomes to meet departmental and organizational objectives.
  • Engage with community leaders, business partners, donors, funders, government officials, and board members to nurture broad networks of alliances.

Qualifications
Master’s degree in business, urban planning, finance, marketing, or a related field (preferred).
7-10 years of progressive management with significant leadership experience in community development, economic development, real estate development, and/or finance.
Proven success in engaging diverse stakeholders across industry, civic, and public sectors.
Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale projects that benefit communities.
Strong P&L experience in nonprofit or public sector environments.
Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
Commitment to SDA’s mission and values.


Compensation
SDA offers a competitive salary range of $200,000–$225,000 plus bonus potential, commensurate with experience.
